On Thursday, May 7, 2015, the San Diego & Imperial Counties Chapter of the American Public Works Association hosted a reception to present awards for public works projects exhibiting a high level of teamwork among the managing agency and the A/E/C team. Among those projects honored was the $130 million communication and electrical upgrade project at Camp Pendleton, a JV between RQ Construction and Bergelectric.
As is often the case with many JV projects, the two companies had to learn how to work as one entity, not just two or more firms working independently. Although it was a gradual process and didn’t happen without team commitment and effort, the process grew and developed with the help of integrated partnering methods. Ultimately, the united team delivered the project on time with a high level of quality despite some initial hurdles.
Congratulations to all team members involved on this award winning project which was facilitated by Neal Flesner of Ventura Consulting Group!
