AGC of California honored top projects, companies and individuals in the California construction industry during its prestigious annual 2014 Awards banquet held at Disney’s Grand Californian in Anaheim on June 7, 2014. The prestigious black tie event, the “Oscars” evening for the construction industry, was attended by more than 250 people from top construction firms throughout the state.

Seven outstanding projects built by AGC of California contractors were chosen as winners in the 27th Annual Associated General Contractors of California’s Constructor Awards program. The winners in seven categories were selected from a field of 18 previously announced finalists.

In addition to naming the Constructor Awards winners and finalists, AGC of California presented its 2014 Achievement awards, Construction Education Friend Award and Excellence in Partnering Awards.

Two project teams received Excellence in Partnering Awards this year from AGC of California. In the “Projects Under $50 Million” category, Myers & Sons Construction LP received the award for the “Scofield Bridge Deck Replacement” project in Contra Costa County. In the “Projects Over $50 Million” category, Clark/McCarthy, A Joint Venture received the Partnering award for the “Camp Pendleton Hospital Replacement” project in Oceanside.  Jim Eisenhart of VCG, facilitated the partnering on the Camp Pendleton Project.

Also selected as finalists in this category were: Clark / McCarthy, A Joint Venture “Naval Hospital at Camp Pendleton” – Camp Pendleton, and Turner Construction Company “San Diego New Central Library” – San Diego. – Both facilitated by Jim Eisenhart of VCG.
