On May 4th & 5th Jim Eisenhart of VCG facilitated the partnering workshop for the SR-99 Alaskan Way Viaduct and Seawall Replacement in Seattle Washington.  The Alaskan Way Viaduct and Seawall Replacement Program includes projects led by WSDOT, King County, City of Seattle, and the Port of Seattle. WSDOT is responsible for replacing the double-deck viaduct, which is part of State Route 99. Seattle is managing the Elliott Bay seawall project.

On April 27, the department joined construction industry professionals for the 2011 Caltrans “Excellence in Partnering” awards, which recognizes contractors who put into action what they learned from the Partnering Program to deliver successful highway projects throughout the state.
